Foodjet

Privacy statement

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This statement explains how FoodJet B.V. handles personal data when you visit www.foodjet.com, contact us, or do business with us. We keep it short where we can, and specific where it matters.

1. Who we are

FoodJet B.V., Ambachtsweg 49, 6541 DA Nijmegen, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 10143883. We are the controller for the processing described here. Questions: info@foodjet.com or +31 24 379 00 61 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00).

2. The short version

  • We recognise which companies visit our website, and we may look up a relevant contact person at that company. You can object to this at any time (see §3.2 and §9).
  • Our website sets no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept them in the cookie banner.
  • We use AI services, some of them in the United States, to summarise customer correspondence and meetings (§3.6, §6).
  • We do not sell personal data.

3. What we process and why

3.1 Contact and quote requests

When you fill in a form on our website or email us, we process your name, email address, phone number, company, your message and the page you sent it from. We use this to answer your request and follow up on it. Legal basis: steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.

3.2 Recognising companies that visit our website

When you visit our website, our own measurement script (LeadRadar) sends the page you view, the referring page, the time and how long the page was visible, to our own server. Your IP address reaches that server with the request. We use the IP address to determine which company or organisation the visit comes from, using public network registration data (RDAP) and the service ipinfo.io. This script sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

We also use the service Leadinfo for the same purpose. Leadinfo only runs after you accept marketing cookies (§7).

Why: to understand which companies show interest in our machines, so that our sales team can contact them at the right moment. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in business development. We have weighed this against your interests: we aim at companies, not at private individuals, we do not build profiles across other websites, and we mask the last part of the IP address after 30 days.

You can object to this processing at any time (§9). If you click "Reject all" in the cookie banner, this script does not run on your following page views.

3.3 Finding a contact person at a visiting company

If a visiting company looks relevant, we may look up a business contact person at that company, such as a purchasing or production manager, using the services Apollo.io and Hunter.io. This means we may process your name, job title and business email address without having received them from you. If we contact you as a result, we tell you where we obtained your details. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in business development. You can object at any time, and we will then not contact you again for this purpose.

3.4 Customers, suppliers and business contacts

We process names, job titles, business contact details, correspondence, orders and contracts of contact persons at customers, prospects and suppliers. We use this to deliver machines and service, to follow up on quotes and to keep our relationship records. Legal basis: performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in managing business relationships.

3.5 Meetings

Some online and in-person business meetings are recorded and transcribed by a meeting recording and transcription service, so that we can produce minutes and action points. We announce this at the start of the meeting. You can ask us not to record, and we will respect that. Recordings and transcripts stay with the recording service until we delete them. If you took part in a recorded meeting, you can ask us to delete the recording and transcript, and we will.

3.6 AI assistance

We use AI assistants to summarise email threads and meetings and to draft replies. For this, the content of that correspondence is processed by the AI provider. For some of these services we use the provider's standard terms; which ones are listed in §5 and §6; under those terms the provider decides itself how it handles the data, as an independent controller. We have switched off the use of our content for training the providers' AI models.

3.7 Events and newsletters

If you gave us your details at a trade fair or event, or signed up yourself, we may send you invitations and news. Legal basis: your consent, or our legitimate interest for existing business contacts. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

3.8 Job applicants

We use applicants' data only for recruitment and selection, together with our HR service provider. We delete it no later than four weeks after the procedure ends, unless you agree that we keep it for one year for future vacancies.

4. Where your data comes from

Mostly from you: through our forms, email, meetings and business contacts. For §3.2 and §3.3 we also use: your IP address and public network registration data (RDAP), ipinfo.io, Leadinfo, Apollo.io and Hunter.io.

5. Who we share it with
